Working with me is straightforward, you’ll be pleased to know. I keep the process clear so you know what to expect at every stage.
The process:
Step 1: Initial conversation
We’ll discuss your project – what you need, who your audience is, and what outcome you’re looking for.
This helps me understand your goals and confirm I’m the right fit. If I’m not, I’ll be honest and say so.
I’ll send you a few questions via email, then we’ll arrange a brief call or continue via email.
Step 2: Project agreement
I’ll send you a brief proposal outlining what I’ll deliver, the timeline, and the cost. Once you’re happy, we’ll confirm and get started.
Timeframe: Within 48 hours of our conversation
Step 3: Interviews and information gathering
I’ll review the materials you provide (technical documents, research findings, previous content, product specs) and conduct additional research across industry sources and more. The more context I have, the better the result.
Step 4: Writing and review
I’ll create your content based on your materials and research, then send it to you for review. You’ll have two rounds of revisions included.
Typical timeframes:
- Case studies or articles (800-1200 words): 14 working days
- Reports (2000-3000 words): 14-21 working days
- Other projects: Discussed individually
What I need from you:
- Relevant documents and resources
- Access to subject matter experts if clarification needed (brief conversations, not formal interviews)
- Any brand guidelines or style preferences
Step 5: Final delivery
Once you’re happy with the content, I’ll deliver the final version in your preferred format – Microsoft Word, Google Docs, or your designer’s preferred format.
FAQs about working together
What if I need changes after the final delivery? Minor tweaks (small adjustments) are included. Substantial rewrites or scope changes will be quoted separately.
Do you sign NDAs? Yes, I’m happy to sign non-disclosure agreements.
What if my timeline is urgent? I can sometimes take on rush projects depending on my schedule. Please contact me to discuss availability and rush fees.
How do you handle payments? Payment terms are agreed in advance. My terms are 50% upfront and the remaining 50% upon completion. Work begins once the first payment clears.
